She has been creating art since she was a child always allowing it to reflect her interests, humour, and love of all that is quirky. This is like my favorite day of the month!! I love One Dae Fae day!!! Its one day a month that Amanda from Faery Ink creates this super adorable freebie for us all that's only available for 24hrs in the shop!! It is always a super cute little image!! And this month is not exception!! Look at this sweetie!!!
I just giggled the entire time I colored her!! For real!!!

And when I was done I used this awesome tutorial to turn her into a Double Gate Fold Christmas card!!
I love her so much you are gonna get to see her a few times this post!!

For cardstock I used CTMH Kraft and colonial white. The papers are from My Minds Eye- Comfort and Joy collection. And then just for some added shine there is a red metallic paper used as an accent.

I used some new dies for the candy canes and present. I wrote and cut the sentiment with my Cricut Explore using the CMTH Artistry cartridge. Oh and a little Tim Holtz candy apple distress ink on all the edges.

And that's my adorable Arielle Candy Cane Christmas Elf for you!! Make sure you pop by the store to grab yours today!!!

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #101- Anything Goes; Using Faery Ink- Autumn Rose Coffee on the Go

This week the challenge is ANYTHING GOES!

Prize: 3 Digital Images

This week I got to play with the beautiful Autumn Rose Coffee on the Go from Faery Ink! She was such a dream to color up! I played with a few fun techniques using Rangers Perfect Pearls which I had forgotten all about!!

I wish I could have snagged a better picture for you because all the snowflakes glitter like those two and the sentiment shines a blue green too!!

I do hope you are all staying warm in this terrible cold snap!! We are in the -30C's with the windchill everyday for the last week and a half and its supposed to stay with way till Christmas!! OY!!!

Stay warm and keep crafting!!!

Diagonal Double Gate Fold Christmas Card using Faery Ink's Aja- Warm Drink, Cold Day

Hey Hey Hey!!! Are you all almost ready for Christmas?? It's only 10 days away!! Where has the time gone!!! I am so running out of time to get all the things done I want to!! But I just keep pluggin away and hopefully I will manage it all!
Today I have a brand new release digital stamp to show you for Faery Ink!! Aja is just plain awesome if I do say so myself!! I loved the challenge of a darker skin tone which I don't do very often.. and coloring her dreads was so much fun!! I adore the snowflakes in the background it just gave it such a wintery feel!!
Isn't she just lovely!!! I loved coloring her soooo much!!!

To create the Diagonal Double Gate Fold I used this tutorial and loved doing it!! It is such a fun card!! This simple twist give such an interesting detail to the card!!!

I used different dies for all the cuts you see like the coffee up and snowflakes, even the image and mat. The pattern paper is from the Echo Park Hello Winter paper pack and I must have more of it!! So much more!!! LOL I used CTMH Twilight, Crystal Blue, and Saphire cardstocks. The blue enamel dots are also from CTMH and I used Tim Holtz Faded Denim distress ink to edge all the peices.

The inside I stamped with CTMH Crystal Blue and Twilight inks using CTMH Wonderland and Very Merry Christmas stamps. And as you can see I should have followed the tutorial better and stamped that coffee cup prior to glueing down the white cardstock... but we live and learn right!!!

Thanks for popping in today! I always have so much fun showing off my new creations with you all!!! Make sure you pop by the Store today to pick up your very own Aja- Warm drink, cold day digi stamp!!

Aurora Wings Challenge #41 "Winter Wonderland"- Altered Canvas using "Icy Snow Queen"

Oh you guys I cannot tell  you how good it feels to have this project done!! If you follow me at all or check in when my Aurora Wings inspiration posts go up you will know I have been working on this set of canvas' since..... well you saw the first 2 in September which means I have been working on them since August... is that even seriously possible!!!??? My oh my where is the time going!! LOL
But its done now and I do hope you love it!!
Haha just teasing you don't get to see it yet!! LOL So the first canvas was based on Hans Christian Andersen's"The Snow Queen", the second canvas was based on C.S. Lewis': Chronicles of Narnia and now this one is based on Disney's Frozen. So little back story I learned while working on these.... The Chronicles of Narnia and Frozen have both pulled thier inspiration from Hans Christian Andersen! Just a cool little fact for you that 3 totally different stories were all sparked by the same mind! Makes me think of how Mitzi gives us all one little thing to go on for the month and ta-da we end up with 50+ totally different ideas and interpretations!! Pretty neat if you ask me!!

So...... anyway.... This is image is Icy Snow Queen and I love her!! I love all those different icicles to color! Her flowing hair is gorgeous and her beautiful facial features make her a dream to work with!!!
I had so much fun doing the water color technique on the background of all these canvas'. Its just a fun technique that I can't wait to try on a smaller scale like a card! LOL

The ice castle there was cut from the Disney Frozen cricut cartridge.... I had to force myself not to put an Olaf or something on here! LOL if I had my kids would have stolen it for sure!! As you can see I already had some help "prettying up Elsa!!" LOL not your usual gem placement ideas but my 5 year old was so excited to do it lol

Are you ready for the grand finale? The final look of all the art upon the wall!!?? It's so nice not have a blank canvas hanging there anymore!! LOL

The quotes from left to right:
"I'll rise like the break of dawn"- Elsa, Frozen
"You doubt your value- Don't run from who you are" - C.S. Lewis, Chronicles of Narnia
"I can give her no greater power than she already processes," said the woman, "Don't you see how strong that is?"- Hans Christian Andersen, Snow Queen

I love having such powerful, uplifting, strengthening quotes hanging here in the one room in the world where I can be me and free and let whatever I want out. These quotes help me walk out of my sanctuary ready to face whats outside that door with all that I have. Do you all have little things like this around your world too? Little things to build you up? I hope so!!!

Thanks for popping by again today!! I do hope you have enjoyed seeing this wall of my craft room come together as much as I have enjoyed doing it!! LOL Where's the snow going to take you the next 2 weeks??

Faery Ink December Facebook Challenge "Gift" using Gabbie and Gibran O Holy Night Digital Stamp

Hey there everyone!! Are you ready for another fun monthly challenge in the Faery Ink Facebook Group? This month the theme is "Gift" interpret it how you wish!! Whether you choose to make a gift tag, use an image with a gift, create a gift bag, whatever your mind thinks up!! And it does not have to be a Christmas Gift either!! How fun is that!! So wide open with so many possibilities!!
For my project I chose to make a Christmas card.. 'Tis the Season after all!! But I did not do a gift in the traditional sense either... wanna see?
I started with Gabbie and Gibran O Holy Night. I love how this image projects the story of the First Christmas complete with Star of Bethlehem in a modern beautiful way! I am not a religious person but I have a lot of faith and for me this gift is still the most important Christmas Gift ever given.

I found this beautiful papers a few weeks ago while in the city doing alittle shopping and knew that it was absolutely perfect for this image. Its Photo Play- Born this day and I totally love it!
The sentiment is CTMH Card Chatter- Christmas Holiday. And the little wise men down there are cut for the CTMH Artfully Sent cricut cartridge.
This card was not east for me to put together. Not being a religious person how to embellish it was tricky for me! Ask Amanda we chatted all morning as I did it!! LOL But I do think it turned out so lovely and I hope it gives you some inspiration for your "Gift" project and please do come share it with us in the Faery Ink Facebook Group!!

Thanks so much for popping in today!!
